At First Baptist, we are looking for opportunities to help people know God more fully and grow in relationship with Him, grow in relationships with those around us, and serve the community in ways that demonstrate God's love and move others to desire a relationship with Him. In our ministries, we seek to provide those opportunities and help people grow in the whole of life.

Hope House Message: You can help!
Hope House pantry is running low on many items. We have exhausted every method of trying to find these things to meet the ever growing needs of our Franklin County families. Each week we see an increase in families. (One third over our normal services each week! ) We need help from you. Some of our greatest needs for FOOD are: margarine, vegetables, pastas, spaghetti sauce, cereal, pancake mixes, boxed milk, saltine crackers, bread, jelly, ramen noodles, cake and brownie mixes, icing, sugar, flour, small bottles of cooking oil. NON FOOD: bar soap, shampoo, toothpaste, dish soap, powered laundry soap and toilet paper.

Small cardboard boxes for distributing food (plastic bags aren’t durable enough)

Monetary donations are always accepted and welcomed

Do not need any more plastic containers (at this time)
Open to receive and give Tues, Wed, Thurs from 9-12. Or you may drop off at the church and we will deliver.
Deliveries are made to the back door and could possibly be received at other times by special arrangement. Phone is 242-4444.

The One Great Hour of Sharing Offering is our most effective way to provide emergency and ongoing financial aid in the face of natural disaster and devastation. OGHS funds have been distributed to victims of Hurricane Katrina in the Gulf; the tornado that struck Greensburg in 2007; Hurricane Ike in Texas in 2008; and most recently, the 2010 earthquake in Haiti. The ABC/CR Region Offering is another way Central Region Baptists support the ministries of the Central Region. 100% of gifts given to the Region Offering are used to support the ministry and mission of the American Baptist Churches of the Central Region.
Every year we come together to work for a better world by donating to “One Great Hour of Sharing”
This special offering help to improve the lives of the suffering and vulnerable.

Connect Groups
We have lots of opportunities throughout the year for you to learn and grow in faith, spiritual life, and personally. We offer groups for all ages Sundays at 11:30 AM. Check them out!
Community Youth Group
Students 6th grade through Senior in High School are welcome and encouraged to join us for this youth group coop of 5 churches in town. We have a free meal, games, worship, discussion, and more! Join us Sundays @ 5:30 pm at Ottawa Bible Church!
